Further extension to the eviction ban

The Government have announced they are extending bailiff evictions from the end of March until 31st May.

As well as an extension to the bailiff ban, landlords and letting agents are also required to give six months’ notice of their intention to evict except ‘in the most serious of cases’ including anti-social behaviour and domestic abuse. Therefore any tenants who are served with an eviction notice late in May won’t face physical eviction until at least November.
